  • An irritating cough that produces phlegm is one of the main symptoms of acute bronchitis.
  • Blocked ears and earache
  • Nasal congestion
  • Sore Throat
  • Chest pain.
  • Wheezing and tightness in the chest.
  • Breathlessness.
  • Mild fever.


Okey dokey, now that we have shown what the symptoms of bronchitis are, we are going to offer some natural bronchitis home remedies for as many of the SYMPTOMS  as possible, starting with help for coughs



Home Remedies for Coughs

Ingredients


1 bottle honey

1 small bottle glycerine

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

Mix all ingredients together and take one tablespoon 3 to 4 times per day, this will help get rid of the slime.


  • Honey is a natural antibiotic as well as having anti-bacterial qualities.
  • Lemons lower levels of histamine, a naturally ocurring chemical that causes stuffy noses.

Warning:

Never ever give Honey to small babies.  Doctors advise that the child should be at least 1 year before you let them have honey.

Another very good remedy for Coughs

Ingredients

half a teaspoon ground cinnamon

half a teaspoon sugar

half a cup of  lukewarm water

Method

Mix well and drink at least 3 to 4 times a day.

Cinnamon is a natural expectorant which means that it is an agent that dissolves thick mucus and helps with respiratory difficulties.



Home Remedies for Earache

Ingredients

10ml white vinegar

10ml luke warm water

Method

Mix together and use a sterilized medicine dropper  to insert three drops into each ear 3 times per day.

  • White vinegar is acidic and toxic to micro-organisms causing ear infections and will help eliminate their growth and reproduction in the ear canal.

WARNING;  Never insert anything into the ear without approval of your medical practitioner.



Natural Help for Nasal Congestion

Ingredients

1 cup lukewarm water

1 teaspoon of salt

Method

Mix ingredients well, blow your nose and then cup your hand and pour mixture into your hand quickly sniffing up into your nose.

Leave for a minute or two and then blow your nose again, you will immediately feel relief from congested nasal passages. (See uses for salt)

Do this 3 to 4 times a day and feel the difference.



Home Remedy for a sore Throat

Ingredients

Chop 6 onions,

Add 6 oz of honey

Method

Place in a double boiler and cook slowly over a low heat for two hours.

Strain, and drink this onion syrup regularly during the day, and preferable when warm because it tastes far better.
